Dartford 3 (MacDonald 2, 34, 47)

Oxford City 3 (Gardner 20, Gunn 53, Jackman 89)

Steve Jackman scored an 89th-minute equal-iser as Oxford City came from behind three times to earn a replay from Saturday’s second qualifying round tie at Dartford.

Trailing 3-2 and with seconds left, it looked as though City were to return home empty-handed only for Jackman to head home the leveller to take the sides back to Court Place Farm on Tuesday.

City, who welcomed back Dave Savage and Jamie Brooks for the trip to the Ryman Premier League outfit, were caught cold when Codie McDonald crashed home Jamie Day’s cross with only two minutes gone.

Andy Gunn then headed Steve Davis’s cross over the Dartford bar, before City levelled in the 20th minute, Jon Gardner crashing home a beautifully angled shot into the far corner from a James Faulkner through ball.

City fell behind again in the 34th minute when McDonald grabbed a second, heading home a cross from the far wing and they were lucky not to concede another, but Gunn made a brilliant block to deny Rob Haworth scoring.

Gardner went close to equalising when John Guest headed his goalbound effort off the line.

It got worse for City after the break when McDonald completed his hat-trick with a close-range finish.

But City were right back in it when Gunn headed home Davis’s cross in the 53rd minute.

Dartford keeper Andrew Young then made a great stop from Faulkner’s header as they searched for an equaliser.

And it arrived shortly after McDonald crashed a shot against the bar, Jackman heading in another good cross from Davis to set up a replay.
