West Kidlington won the Kidlington School Sport Partnership Tag Rugby Festival for the fourth successive year.

They maintained their stranglehold on the tournament at Stratfield Brake, Kidlington, with North Kidlington runners-up and West Kidlington’s third team taking the minor honours.

Fifteen teams battled it out in the competition, with students from Gosford Hill School refereeing and providing coaching through-out the afternoon.

West Kidlington were presented with the trophy by Gosford All Blacks’ junior chairman, Mark Gardner, who organised the tourn-ament in conjunction with Kidlington School Sport co-ordinator Pam Selby.

lST Mary’s, Aston Le Walls, triumphed in the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership Tag Rugby Festival at Blessed George Napier, Banbury.

Four schools took part, with St Mary’s A and C, from Bicester, taking the minor honours.

Youngsters from St Joseph’s and St John’s, Banbury, were also in action, with 16 students from Blessed George Napier officiating and providing coaching.

Before the festival, training was provided by Gary Morris, of the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership.

The first three schools in each tournament now go forward to the county final at Bicester RFC on Wednesday, November 12.
