Fears that Oxford United right back James Clarke had a broken right leg after a late tackle by Hayes & Yeading striker Will Henry were allayed over the weekend.
Clarke was stretchered off during stoppage time at the end of the game and whisked off to hospital by ambulance. But X-rays showed there was no break.
United will now study the medical reports to see if he has any ligament damage to his ankle.
Said Darren Patterson: "It's not broken, that's the good news.
"We got that information late on Saturday night, but we don't yet know what other damage there might be. I thought it was a bad tackle."
