AFC Totton 3 (Davies pen 42, Lang 51, Shelbourne 90)

Abingdon Utd 2 (Beechers 5, Curtin 75)

A tie that started well so for Abingdon ended in disappointment as they conceded the decisive goal deep in injury time in the FA Trophy.

The visitors took the lead with the first shot of the game.

A free-kick from Ryan Curtin was cleared, but only as far as Billy Beechers, who drove his shot low into the net from 18 yards.

The match turned when Totton were awarded a disputed penalty just before half-time.

Abingdon defender Jimmy Smith won the ball in a strong challenge, but the referee took advice from his assistant and awarded a penalty, even though the initial challenge appeared to be outside the area.

Craig Davies, who had just won the FA Cup player of the round for scoring three penalties in one match, despatched the spot-kick cleanly to level the scores.

With a limping Anaclet Odhiambo having to go off, Totton got on top.

They took the lead when Adam Lan hammered home a 25-yard free-kick past an unsighted Sam Warrell.

Abingdon fought back to level when Luke Holden sprinted down the right and squared the ball for Ryan Curtin to smack home.

But to their dismay, Totton snatched a late victory when Nathaniel Shelbourne took advantage of uncertainty in the Abingdon defence to crash in the winner.
