Justin Merritt will be pitting his wits against his former side when Oxford City host Aylesbury in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy on Saturday.

The City boss spent a number of seasons at Aylesbury who are flying high in Southern League Division 1 Midlands.

However, that friendship will be put on hold against the Ducks who are coached by former City winger Mark Jones.

"We have to forget about the Eastbourne tie and think about beating Aylesbury", said Merritt who welcomes back Jamie Brooks and Dave Savage after they were cup-tied for last week's win against Chesham.

"From a personal point of view, I was a player at Aylesbury and know a lot of the people there.

"They are a good side. They beat Mangotsfield and won at Bath City last weekend. And they are unbeaten since the first day of the season."

City will be without Darren Pond (hip injury) and Andy Baird (unavailable).

North Leigh aim to make it first time lucky when they travel to Premier Division side Tiverton in their first ever Trophy game.

Manager Mark Gee keeps faith with the side that won at leaders Cinderford in midweek.

He said: "The Trophy is a new challenge for us. If you look at their squad it's quite frightening.

"But if you look at their results, they have only won once at home."

Abingdon United could give a debut to Ben Weedon when they travel to AFC Totton.

The ex-Oxford United youngster has joined on loan from Oxford City.

They will be without Mark Burton (suspended), Tom Franklin (holiday), and Jack Johnson (Oxon under 18 duty).

Julian McCalmon and Tom Austin face late fitness tests.

Banbury United will be without Nicky Gordon (wedding), Troy Bryan (groin) and Stefan Morley (hamstring) for their home game against Division 1 South & West side Burnham.

Tommy Kinch (thigh) faces a late test.

Banbury could give a debut to Sam Tyack who has signed on loan from Worcester.
