Oxford United seem to have turned the corner in one respect – they now seem to be getting favourable draws in the FA Cup.
Hayes & Yeading's visit next week to the Kassam Stadium means they have been drawn away from home six times running. But those doing the draw at the FA have been kinder to the U's.
Oxford did have a run of eight successive FA Cup away ties from their third-round tie at Arsenal in 2002-3 to Merthyr Tydfil in 2007-8.
Since then, they have been handed home ties against Northwich Victoria, Southend and now Blue Square South side Hayes & Yeading.
