The second annual Town v Gown rugby league clash takes place on Sunday for the Jacqueline Scott Memorial Trophy.
Oxford Cavaliers take on Oxford University at Stratfield Brake (1.30pm) with the town club confident of retaining their crown.
Jacqueline Scott, who was killed in a motorbike accident last year, was a physio and huge supporter of both sides.
“Rugby league is developing well in Oxford through the Cavaliers and the University”, said Cavaliers president Matt Walsh.
“The game has an infectious quality due to the pace and openness of play, which I encourage people to come and observe.”
