Henley Hawks had the wrong mindset as they lost their unbeaten record in National 3 South with a 44-15 defeat at Rosslyn Park.
That was the view of director of rugby Jason Forster, who is pleased his side host the same opponents in the EDF Energy National Trophy on Saturday.
Forster said: “I warned the boys not to approach this game thinking they were destined for higher things as they were unbeaten.
"Their mind set was wrong and at times their tackling was woeful.
"It is fortunate that they have the opportunity to put matters right when they play Rosslyn Park at Dry Leas in the cup."
