Chinnor felt hard done by after a 23-21 defeat at Richmond in National 3 South.

The visitors pointed to two refereeing decisions that cost them victory.

Chinnor cited an illegal trip when they looked set to score, and an incorrect off-side call as Toby Prescott intercepted a pass with a clear run to the line.

Richmond were 10-0 up after 14 minutes thanks to a David West try and a Matt Hart conversion and penalty.

Chinnor bounced back after the 'trip' with Eric Brown collecting his own chip and setting up a try for scrum half Prescott, converted by Ben Hewitt.

A minute into the second half, Chinnor scored again as debutant flanker Max Williams fed Brown, who crossed the line with three defenders hanging off him.

Hewitt's conversion made it 14-10, but a penalty from replacement Luke Cousins and tries from Jonathan Wehbe and West gave Richmond the lead.

Chinnor had skipper Matt Hutchings sin-binned, but came agonisingly close in the dying minutes after Trevor Powell went over from a tapped penalty.

Replacement James Cathcart slotted the conversion and then saw his penalty from the halfway line fall inches short of the bar.

Henley Hawks' unbeaten run came to an end with a 45-15 defeat at Rosslyn Park.

Hawks lost scrum half James Gaunt to a calf injury before kick-off and trailed 35-0 at the break.

Former Henley full back Chris Simmons bagged Rosslyn Park's first try after two minutes.

Scores from Morgan Jones, Simmons and James Strong, who was later red-carded for kicking a Henley player, added to the onslaught, while Hawks captain Matt Payne was yellow-carded.

Fly half Dylan Pugh slotted three conversions and four penalties.

With Tom Hancock limping off, Henley wing Jack Shaylor moved to scrum half at the break and promptly ran in two tries in four minutes, Tommy Turner converting both.

Pugh set up Strong for his second try, and converted it, after a loose pass from Henley's Angelo Flammia.

Henley saw replacementy lock Steve Green sin-binned and No 8 Jack Hennings injured, so finished the game with 13 men, while the hosts also had Russell Forster yellow-carded.
