The Oxfordshire's Daniel Wood was crowned joint winner of the BB&O Assistants Championship at Drayton Park.
Wood and Mike O'Connor (The Lambourne) agreed to share the trophy with the light fading.
Wood, 27, head assistant professional at The Oxfordshire, was two shots clear after a first-round 70.
But a second-round 72 and O'Connor's late rally saw them both finish on two-over- par.
Wood said: "I believe this is the first time that The Oxfordshire has won the event.
"It's the first time I have played in it for three years, since it was last at The Oxfordshire where I finished in the top five.
"It's not often that as a professional you get to play 36 holes.
"So it's a bit different to finish your round, go in for lunch, look at the leaderboard and know what you have to do in the afternoon round to win."
Frilford Heath host the PGA PowerPlay Golf British Championship next Friday with a £25,000 prize purse up for grabs.
PowerPlay is billed as golf's answer to Twenty20 cricket and is designed to appeal to TV audiences.
Competition is played over nine holes, with two flags on each green and extra points available for those who opt to go for the black PowerPlay flag.
Friday's event will see the top 16 from the morning session contest a nine-hole shotgun sprint in the PowerPlay Shootout format, which features a "thrilling climax" on the final hole.
Chipping Norton's Sue and Alan White won the Henley-in-Arden Mixed Open with 42 points.
