Speculation that Fernando Alonso may be on the move from the Enstone-based Renault team to BMW Sauber has ended.
The Hinwil team have confirmed they will retain their existing driver line-up of Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld for the 2009 Formula 1 season.
The announcement ends months of speculation over the future of German Heidfeld, whose place at the team was rumoured to be under threat from Alonso.
It leaves Alonso with the choice of staying with the Renault team or accepting an offer from struggling Honda.
