Fullback Tim Catling bagged a brace of tries as Oxford University ran out 24-8 winners in a scrappy encounter at Moseley on Monday night.
Catling set the Dark Blues on their way when he picked up a loose ball in his own 22 and raced 80 yards to touch down after 13 minutes.
Fly half Stuart O'Flanagan added the conversion.
Two minutes later, Oxford stunned the National 1 side again.
This time a loose ball was kicked through and second row Nic Van Zyl won the chase to touch down.
O'Flanagan was again on target with the conversion.
Moseley reduced the deficit with a try on the half-hour mark, before adding a penalty five minutes into the second half.
Oxford had scrum half Brendan McKerchar sin-binned before they wrapped up victory with two unconverted tries in the last ten minutes.
Replacement fly half Ross Swanson made a break for centre Sam Humphry-Baker to score.
And then at the death, centre Tom Gregory burst through before releasing Catling for his second try.
