Rover Oxford slumped to a 7-1 defeat at Firebrands in their first match in the Slazenger England League Women's West Conference.
The visitors were bombarded by four goals in the first half, all from clinically taken short corners Rover came out more strongly in the second half and looked more comfortable in their new system.
Emily Court, 15, who has just joined from from Banbury, scored Rover's goal However, they were unable to convert any of their other five chances and Firebrands added three more in the second half.
