North Leigh 2 (Simms pen 63, Hope 80)
Hayes 1 (Chadaodza 31)
A diving header from Liam Hope ten minutes from time saw North Leigh come from behind to end a run of three successive defeats in British Gas Business Southern League Division 1 South & West.
The visitors had a lucky escape when a header from defender Sean James eluded keeper Robert Pietka, only for the woodwork to keep out the effort.
North Leigh took early control, only for Kevin Chakaodza to give Hayes a 31-st minute lead with a superb curling shot into the top corner of the net.
Andy McCabe raced clear to lob the advancing Hayes keeper, but his effort cleared the bar.
Pietka then made a point-blank save from a Joe Burnell header.
After the break, North Leigh equalised when Mark Simms converted from the spot on 63 minutes after Ben Reardon had been tripped.
It was one-way traffic now and only a string of fine saves from Pietka kept Hayes on level terms.
Simms then hiy the bar as the visitors appealed in vain for hand-ball.
With ten minutes left a surging run and pinpoint cross from Simms was headed in by Hope on 80 minutes.
North Leigh: Barrett, Hutter, Helby, Cooper, Huxley, Dodds, Reardon (Collins 80) , McCabe, Simms (Wright 85) , Hope, Burnell. Sub not used: Dennis.
