Witney Utd 2 (Wickens pen 80, Thompson 85)
Almondsbury Tn 2 (Davis 26, Kear 72)
Witney United produced a stirring fightback as they rallied from 2-0 down against Almondsbury Town to force a deserved draw at home in FTL Futbol Hellenic League Premier Division on Saturday.
After dominating in terms of possession early on Witney were stunned when the visitors took the lead with their first effort on goal.
Kris Davis's dangerous free-kick eluded everybody and drop into the far corner on 26 minutes.
Almondsbury extended their lead with eighteen minutes remaining when Richard Kear struck with an excellent individual effort.
However, Witney didn't let their heads drop, and their fightback began with ten minutes left when Ben Thompson was hauled down by Paul Fowler.
Gary Wickens made no mistake from the penalty spot.
Witney threw everyone forward and with five minutes left, the fightback was complete when John McMahon and Jamie Mills combined to find Thompson who calmly slotted past Ben John for the equaliser.
Kidlington 0
Fairford Tn 1 (Boucher 7)
Kidlington's poor run continued as they went down at home to the Gloucestershire side.
The hosts, who paraded new signing Jermain McSporran, had started the stronger only to go a goal down early in the first half to a wonderful 30-yard strike from Matt Boucher.
After the break, Mark Baker had a great chance to level on 68 minutes. Receiving the ball on the edge of the box, beat his man only for his goalbound effort to be cleared off the line by a defender.
Fairford then lost their keeper to injury, but Kidlington failed to beat their stand-in keeper, despite a succession of corners.
Abingdon Tn 0
Reading Tn 4 (Spence 13, Lewis 27, 45, Brooks 61)
A disappointing display saw Abingdon Town crash to a heavy home defeat.
With regular keeper Gareth Walker out with a broken foot, 17-year-old Theo Dalton, signed from Old Woodstock Town, took his place in goal and made several decent saves, culminating in the second half when he saved a Graham Lewis penalty.
Former Didcot striker Ray Spence fired Reading ahead.
Lewis doubled their lead with his first.
Town striker Ryan Brooks went off injured, before Lewis made it 3-0.
In the second half, Dalton kept out Lewis's penalty, but he was left helpless when Ian Brooks hit No 4.
The closest Abingdon came to scoring was a shot from Carl Bloomfield that went wide.
It could have been worse for Town, but Lewis was denied a hat-trick by a post.
