Ardley Utd 4 (Costella 20, 53, 56, 70)
Letcombe 0
Jason Costella smashed a four-timer as Ardley United ease into the next round with a straight-forward win against the Division 1 West high-fliers.
Costella opened the scoring from close range and then added the second with a looping header shortly after half time. He then completed his hat trick, turning on a loose ball to fire home, and he added the fourth with a firm header from an excellent right wing cross.
Letcombe were not helped when after using their three subs Mark de la Coze had to leave the pitch with a back injury, having just come on.
Hook Norton 1 (Standen 65)
Wootton Bassett Tn 2 (aet) (Banks 68, 118)
Hook Norton suffered heartache as they went down to an extra-time defeat in the preliminary round.
The hosts shaded the first half, with Pete Moulder denied the opener by a brilliant save from the visitors' keeper.
In the second half, Carl Standen scored direct from a corner on the right to give Hooky the lead, only for Ryan Banks to level minutes later under the body of Matthew Dixon.
Minutes into extra time, Hooky's 16-year-old sub Ashley Prentice saw his header hit the bar, before Hooky had a lucky escape when the visitors hit the woodwork before it was hooked clear by Chris Jackson.
Wootton Bassett dominated the second half of extra time, with Banks scoring the winner with two minutes left as the penalty shoot-out loomed.
Hardwicke AFC 3(Dunsford 18, 39, Anson 87)
Clanfield 2 (Johnson 78, 84)
A fightback from Clanfield proved in vain as they went down to a narrow defeat against the runaway leaders.
Hardwicke took the lead when a corner was swung into the box where Adam Dunsford scored with a fine header.
Moments later, Clanfield lost striker Sean McKeon with a nasty thigh injury.
Dunsford netted his second, before a shot from Clanfield's Steve Knight was well held by Dave Evans.
After the break, Clanfield clawed a goal back through Ashley Johnson.
And they were level when Johnson doubled his tally.
It lookled as though Clanfield would force extra time only for Shane Anson to get the late winner.
Milton Utd 2 (Keyes 21, Hartley 56)
Thame Utd 1 (Goffe 2)
Milton had to come from behind to get back to winning ways with a narrow win against the Division 1 East strugglers.
Tom Goffe put the visitors ahead.
Milton levelled when Lee Keyes beat three men before shooting home.
After the break, Milton kept up the pressure with Gary Hartley heading home the winner from Andrew Styles's cross to end Thame's hopes.
