They first beat Rodney House 4-2, with Rob Franklin's two wins against Nigel Wilkins proving decisive.

On Monday, they defeated Green Road Club 4-2 thanks to two frames each from Tony Hicks and Ron Reddy.

Eynsham A came from 3-0 down to draw with House Club A to leave both teams still searching for their first win.

Abingdon Con A went top of Division 2 by defeating bottom side Thame B 4-2, even though Thame's Nigel Bossom beat Vince Taylor in the best two frames of the night.

In the first, Bossom made a break of 29, while in the second, Taylor recorded a 24, before Bossom hit back with a frame-clinching 37.

Oracle B made it two wins out of two with a 4-2 success against Riley D thanks to Nino Merola's double.

Ashton A maintained their 100 per cent record to go ten points clear in Division 3.

Their latest victims were Eynsham B, who went down 4-2. With the scores level, a break of 25 helped John Street beat Kevin Truby 2-0.

New Club B are second after drawing with Witney B, who took a 2-0 lead thanks to Simon Barker, with two black-ball frames against Paul Moss New Club’s saviour was Peter Wardle, who made three breaks of 22 against Terry Cook.
