Chippenham Tn 2, Oxford City 2
(aet, Chippenham win 5-4 on pens)
Oxford City bowed out of the Southern League's GX Cup on penalties after twice leading at Chippenham in last night's preliminary round tie.
James Faulkner marked his return to the club by firing City ahead on 12 minutes, but Mark Richards levelled on the half hour after City failed to clear.
Both sides had chances for the winner in a goalless second half, but it was City who went ahead again in extra time through Mark Bell.
Once again, Chippenham found an equaliser from Joe White to make it 2-2 and although City took an early lead in the penalty shoot-out, two missed efforts proved decisive.
