Chris Hooper's late goal gave Saxton Rovers a 3-2 win over Drayton in their Division 1 derby, writes ANDY WELLS.
Following a frantic opening, an accidental aerial collision saw Drayton’s Rob Powell and Saxton's Paul Churchouse receive lengthy treatment for head wounds, with Powell taken to hospital to have stitches in a bad cut over an eyebrow.
Churchouse, however, seemed to benefit from the knock, opening the scoring on 35 minutes.
Two minutes later, Danny Curran headed Drayton's equaliser.
Craig O’Connor restored Saxton's lead on the hour only for Adam Greenaway to equalise seven minutes from time, but Hooper's glancing header gave Saxton victory.
Crowmarsh Gifford stay top on goal difference following a 3-1 win at Harwell International.
Andy Allum, Paul Hannigan and Tom Banks netted for Crowmarsh, while Harwell's Johnny Eudell scored for the third successive match.
Second-placed Blewbury lost 2-0 at home to Wootton & Dry Sandford, whose goals came from George Casserly and Richard Chil- vers.
Alan Bertrum scored twice in Harwell Village's 4-2 win over reigning champions Lambourn Sports, who had Michael McNally sent off for foul and abusive language.
Grant Goodall and Matty Aplin also netted for Harwell, with Danny Pearce and Matthew Pedder replying.
Ardington & Lockinge lost 2-0 at home to Steventon, who claimed their first points of the season with goals from Stuart Coppock and Derrick Elliott.
In Division 2, Phil Stokes netted a four-timer in Marcham's 7-1 romp at home to Warborough & Shilling- ford.
Martin Webb, a Wes Costar penalty and a 35-yard screamer from Will Westall completed Marcham's tally.
Grove Rangers are up and running after a 4-2 win at home to Kingsclere.
Steve Weaving, Dave Stebbings, Matt Booker and Dean Worthington did the damage, with Matty Evans scoring both Kingsclere goals.
In Division 3, an Andy Marriott hat-trick helped Long Wittenham Athletic to a 4-3 win over Blewbury Res.
Danny Osborne hit the other Wittenham goal, with Des Healy (2) and Adam Spurrett finding the net for the visitors.
Leaders Botley United stormed to a 5-2 home victory over Benson Lions.
Chris Potter (2), Keith Bruce, Sam Dallimore and Dan Hill were Botley’s goalscorers with Graeme Munro bagging a brace for Lions.
