Two penalties from wing Jackson Sayce, the second from half-way, put the hosts 11-0 up at the break.
Wycombe dominated the third quaurter, especially in the scrum, but Sayce and fly half Henry Pooler combined for the latter to touch down with the former to converting.
The visitors hit back with a converted try from livewire scrum half Ben Stocken.
Wallingford hooker Tom Hill rounded off an excellent move to score next with the impressive Sayce converting.
Wycombe added a late second from prop James Mawby.
