Jon Jukes finished the season unbeaten as Original Swan lifted the men's Premier League crown for the first time after a 6-3 win against Section 1 leaders Shears Wantage.

Wins from Peter Rouse and Tony Leone saw them ease into a 2-0 lead, only for the visitors to level through Peter Hall and Kevin Wilkins.

But the Swan stormed back to lead 4-2 thanks to victories from Nick Cobb and Jukes.

Jukes defeated last season's singles champion Preben Krabben 3-0, to record his 14th win and finish the season undefeated.

Swan then took the pairs 2-1, giving them the crown for the first time.

The battle for the Section 2 title will only be decided after a play-off after leaders Littlemore British Legion had a hard-fought 5-4 win over visiting Three Horseshoes.

Cowley Workers forced a league play-off after a stunning 7-2 win over visitors Crown Chalgrove.

Section 3 leaders North Oxford Conservative Club won 6-3 at Marsh Harrier.

Wins from Percy Brain and Sean Holley gave them a 2-0 lead.

Harrier then pulled one game back when C Kearney beat Jason Coates.

The visitors restored their two-game advantage when Mat Brain got the better of Tony Sawyer.

Harrier battled back to reduce the gap to 3-2 after Alan Hunter's fine 3-0 win over Mick Richardson.

But once again Conservative Club hit back and Alan Stimpson's win gave them a 4-2 lead.

They then triumphed in the pairs 2-1 to complete their tally.

They now need three points from their last game to be sure of the title.

Railway Social Club, smarting from last week's loss to the Nuffield Lounge, got their revenge with interest after a fine 7-2 success at the Nuffield, a win which gives them the league title in a season which they suffered just one defeat.

Boundary House are the Section 6 champions after scoring their 11th win of the season in their 5-4 defeat of hosts Sutton Courtenay Club.

New Club's 7-2 victory against John Radcliffe Social Club leaves them needing just two points from their last game to win Section 7.

Catherine Wheel C are the Section 10 champions.

Shelley Arms C thrashed Berinsfield Community Centre 9-0 to lift the ladies Premier title.

The champions have been unbeaten all season with just one game remaining. Blackbird Bar, despite losing 5-4 against Shelley Arms D, were crowned Section 1 champions.
