Didcot Tn 0
Windsor & Eton 1 (Chennells 90)
Didcot Town suffered the agony of going down to a stoppage-time strike by Windsor & Eton striker Michael Chennells in their Division 1 South & West clash at the Loop Meadow Stadium.
The game had looked destined for a goalless draw, but Windsor were awarded a corner on their left with only seconds remaining.
And when the ball was crossed into the box, Didcot were unable to clear and up popped Chennells to scramble it home.
Michael Bartley fired the home side’s first chance wide before Neville Roach was only denied by a brave block from Mark Cooper.
Chennells brought a decent low save out of Michael Watkins and Andy Williams produced a fine sliding block to deny the Windsor striker moments later.
A speculative 35-yard shot by the impressive Martin Williams was touched over the bar by Watkins as the first half drew to a close.
In the second half, the game’s best move should have seen Didcot take the lead only for Matty Jack to head straight at keeper Rob Bullivant.
Windsor substitute Ben Porter then brought a low stop from Watkins, before Paul Coyne and Matt Seedel squandered good chances for the visitors.
Didcot could have snatched a goal when Ashley Vine headed wide.
Chennells shot over, but he had the last word with that late winner.
