Oxford City Stars will be looking to build on their fine start to the season when they face a double-header away to Peterborough Islanders and Streatham Redskins in Division 1 South of the English National League this weekend.

Following their 4-1 opening win against Haringey, Stars travel to Peterborough today (6pm), to renew the strong rivalry between the two sides.

Stars last won at Peterborough in November 2006, and were the final team to beat the South League champions until the end-of-season play-offs.

Oxford Stars coach Darryl Morvan said: "It's a chance to consolidate on last Sunday's win, and to re-establish what has previously been a good record at Peterborough."

Tomorrow, Stars travel to Streatham, whom they met for the first time last season. "Streatham are a proud side who always give 110 per cent, especially in front of their partisan supporters," said Morvan. "We have struggled in the past to get a result there, and if we want to make a credible challenge for the league, then wins at Streatham and Peterborough would help our cause."

Mike Hargreaves and Dave Carr are unavailable to play at Peterborough, but established youngsters Sam Broughton and Joe Oliver take their places.

Stars are at full strength for the Streatham game, which ices off at 6.45.
