Oxford United's nightmare run of injuries continued with striker Jamie Guy turning his ankle in training.
Guy, who has only recently returned to the team after missing the start of the season with a hamstring injury, will go for a full scan today once the swelling has gone down.
Said manager Darren Patterson: "There are two options.
"One is that it's a minor thing, which is what I'm hoping for, but the other is that it's fairly extensive and he'd be out for a while.
"We won't know until the scan, but I'm prepared for the worst and will be gutted if it does mean he is out of contention for a while."
- Phil Trainer is set to make his comeback from injury when an Oxford United XI take on Kidlington in a friendly at Yarnton Road tonight (7.45).
The midfielder, who broke a metatarsal in pre-season, should play for at least 45 minutes.
Admission is £2 for adults and £1 for children.
