Oxford Stadium are launching an unbelievable offer in a bid to get the crowds back.
With a number of tracks struggling for punters, the British Greyhound Racing Board are launching a national advertising campaign offering entrance and a meal for just 1p in midweek.
Hard to believe, yes, but it was experimented with at Peterborough and proved a resounding success.
There are 22 tracks that have agreed to sign up to the campaign where customers will be directed to a website where qualifying vouchers can be downloaded and redeemed at local tracks.
The variety of meal will differ between tracks, but the basic premise is admission and fast-food meal for just 1p.
Oxford marketing committee chairman Clive Feltham said: "I'm very pleased we have agreed this exciting national campaign.
"Given the current economic climate, it's not surprising that a number of tracks are experiencing challenging trading conditions, but this strong and novel offering is designed to capture the attention of the public."
