Heavy rain over the last week is set to drive the Oxfordshire final of the Lord's Taverners Under 14 Cricket Cup between Magdalen College School (Oxford) and Warriner (Bloxham) indoors.
A winner must be found this month as the county have to put forward a representative for next year's under 15 national competition.
And with attempts to play the match frustrated by the weather, the two schools are now planning an indoor game.
Meanwhile, the other three county finals held over from the summer term were all washed out this week.
It's hoped the under 13 league final between St Birinus (Didcot) and Warriner, the under 15 league final featuring Bicester and Burford, and the under 17 cup finalbetween Burford and Oxford will be played at the start of next season.
