OXFORD United have said good-bye officially to goalkeeper Jake Cole.
And Darren Patterson thanked his club, QPR, for agreeing to cancel the loan agreement because the player is injured.
Cole had six weeks left at Oxford, but will probably be sidelined for another 3-4 weeks.
Patterson said: "He's now gone back for good and the loan has been cancelled. I'd like to thank Mr (Gianni) Paladini and Iain Dowie (QPR's chairman and manager) for doing this because they didn't have to, and it saves us money.
"I think Jake is an absolutely outstanding talent who's got one hell of a future ahead of him and I'm very confident he can play well not only in our league, but theirs.
"If any club wants a reference on him I will willingly give it because he showed fantastic attitude, professionalism and quality in his time with us.
"He was our No 1 keeper in pre-season, but was overtaken by Ben Hinchliffe for the first game, and reacted unbelievable professionally to that to try to win his place back."
