Chinnor coach Jason Bowers is expecting real intensity when they host Henley Hawks in tomorrow's National 3 South derby (3).

Bowers has kept faith with the entire squad that lost 45-3 to a star-studded London Scottish side last week after commending their display.

Among their ranks is prop Bob Baker, who has been selected for the England Under 20 training squad.

"We've not played Henley at first-team level for a number of years," said Bowers.

"Although the standard we are up against may be different from last week, I think the intensity of the game will be greater.

"I think we'll enjoy the challenge. We are certainly looking forward to it."

Bowers added: "It was a difficult game against Scottish because they were a team of superstars with a number of guys who played in the Premiership and National 1 last season.

"But for us it was just a great experience. All the players stepped up and performed well.

"We didn't take a backward step and put some good phases of rugby together."

Lock Gareth Ellis, who has been suffering with a neck injury, comes into the reckoning for Henley.

This will be the first clash between the clubs at first-team level since the Oxfordshire Cup epics of the 1990s.

Prop Simon Chadbone will captain Oxford Harlequins this season, starting with tomorrow's trip to Old Patesians in South West 1.

Adam Pearson should start in the second row, Ben Nicholl in the back row, with Kenny Sewell at scrum half.

Nick Sevier and Iain McClure are set to be the wingers with Kiwi Dave Lett at centre.

Wallingford have opted for Henry Pooler at fly half as they make their South West 2 East debut in a derby at Henley Wanderers.

Coach Chris Norrington said: "This season is a bit of an unknown for us, but we are not fearing anything.

"We just hope we stay clear of injuries and get some wins as soon as possible."

Lock Jez Hicks returns to captain Witney at home to Buckingham in Southern Counties North.

Anthony Lewis has his first competitive game as Bicester skipper at home to Beaconsfield.
