ED McGinty has been linked with a permanent move away from Oxford United.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper joined his former club Sligo Rovers on loan back in January, and extended his temporary stint with the League of Ireland Premier Division side in July.
The league season has now come to an end, with McGinty starting all 36 matches, and keeping 12 clean sheets, helping Rovers to finish sixth in the table.

According to the Irish Independent, Shamrock Rovers are interested in a move for McGinty, while Sligo are said to be keen on turning his loan spell into a permanent one.
United already have current number one Jamie Cumming, plus Matt Ingram, Simon Eastwood and Jacob Knightbridge in the senior goalkeeping department, therefore an exit for McGinty would not be a surprise.
He joined the U’s in July 2022, but has made just 10 appearances for the club.
Those all came during the 2022/23 season, with seven games in cup competitions, plus three matches in Sky Bet League One while Eastwood missed out with a calf problem.
McGinty’s most recent appearance for United came in the 3-0 defeat at home to Arsenal in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup back in January 2023.
