THE Oxford Mail player ratings after Oxford United made it five consecutive draws with a goal apiece at home against Derby County.
JAMIE CUMMING
Relatively untested but was on hand to make a couple of comfortable stops when required – 7
PETER KIOSO
Strong display at right back. His one-on-one defending is brilliant and was on show against the Rams – 7.5
ELLIOTT MOORE
Marshalled and led a solid backline, and even went on one marauding run down the middle during the first half – 7.5
BEN NELSON
Perhaps his strongest display so far for the U’s. His ability to bring the ball out and initiate attacks is exceptional, while he was solid defensively. MAN OF THE MATCH – 8
CIARON BROWN
Providing a solid presence at left back and also looked to step infield at times to create space for others – 7.5
RUBEN RODRIGUES
Has gone off the boil in recent games and again couldn’t quite make his presence felt in the final third – 6.5
WILL VAULKS
His stabbed back pass played United into trouble for the equaliser, although arguably there was still the opportunity for the situation to be handled defensively – 6
IDRIS EL MIZOUNI
Underlapping run down the left channel saw him receive the ball and cross for Dane Scarlett to prod the U’s in front – 7
TYLER GOODRHAM
A threat on the right-hand side during the first half with his magic quick feet and sharpness of play. BOOKED – 7
DANE SCARLETT
Handed his first league start and took his opportunity by making it two goals in two games for himself. Also led the line well during first half – 7.5
SIRIKI DEMBELE
A concern to see him go off at half-time with ankle knock. Last thing United need is more injury problems out wide – 7
SUBSTITUTES
Owen Dale (for Dembele, 46)
Started slowly and had one chance to get through the centre of the Rams backline, but a heavy touch let him down – 6.5
Mark Harris (for Scarlett, 62)
Looked fresh when he came on, and instantly got about chasing defenders and loose balls – 6.5
Josh McEachran (for Vaulks, 67)
Nicked the ball on the left and looked to feed Dale with a pass through the middle. Good to see him back – 7
Louie Sibley (for El Mizouni, 67)
Looked to have that extra spring in his step against his former club, and saw one swivel and shot saved – 7
Greg Leigh (for Rodrigues, 85)
Unused: Ingram, Long, ter Avest, Ebiowei.
Substitutes who come on after the 75th minute do not get a rating.
