PETER Kioso is relishing the individual battle he is set to face with former Oxford United hero Josh Murphy this weekend.
Kioso has made the right back spot his to lose, starting the last seven games in all competitions.
As for Murphy, the left-sided winger is only just getting going for Portsmouth after an ankle injury suffered in pre-season ruled him out of the beginning of the campaign.
Murphy has started Pompey’s last four games since returning in the middle of last month, and the tussle between he and Kioso will no doubt be one of the exciting match-ups at Fratton Park.

Kioso said: “I’ve played against him previously before when I was at Peterborough [United], and I know what kind of player he is. He’s a very good player.
“Every player in this league can get you in trouble. In the Championship, you have great wingers that every week I have to come up against.
“At the end of the day, it’s on me to make sure that I do that because I’m a full back. I’m not an attacking full back, I’m a full back, and full backs have to defend first.
“It’s on me to make sure I do what I need to do defensively, and the attacking side is second to that.”
