THREE teams will once again race round Sandy Lane in 2025, Oxford Speedway promoter Jamie Courtney has confirmed.
Oxford returned to the sport in 2022 after a 15-year absence, with Oxford Cheetahs competing in the Championship, while Oxford Chargers have battled in the National Development League.
This season, Oxford Spires entered the Premiership and finished fifth.
Oxford were the first club in speedway history to have three teams fighting across the board, and Courtney has already confirmed that all three sides will continue into 2025.

Cheetahs reached their first Championship play-off final with a 49-41 victory at home to Scunthorpe Scorpions in the second leg of the semi-final, taking the tie 95-85 on aggregate.
Speaking after getting to the final, Courtney said: “While there’s been one or two bumps along the way, I feel that it has been well-received with the public embracing the opportunity to see some of the best riders in the world in the Premiership, the next batch of world-beaters in the Championship and some exciting raw talent in their formative years via the National League.
“We’re still very much blazing our own trail here, Leicester and Belle Vue are the nearest to following our lead, but there was enough positive response in 2024 to make it worth trying again in 2025.”
Cheetahs welcome Poole Pirates on Wednesday evening for the first leg of the Championship final, before the return leg in Dorset on Friday.
