IDRIS El Mizouni wants to establish himself in the Oxford United midfield to help get back into the international set-up with Tunisia.
The 23-year-old has won one cap for Tunisia, when he came on as a substitute in a 2-0 friendly win against Iraq in June 2019.
El Mizouni wasn’t included in the Tunisia squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying wins against Madagascar and Gambia earlier this month, but hopes his form for the U’s will aid his case.
The Paris-born player scored his first United goal in the 1-0 win at home to Stoke City last time out, and has been involved in each of the first seven U’s games of the season.

El Mizouni said: “I would love to be with Tunisia, and obviously I was a bit disappointed not to get called up.
“The main thing for me is Oxford United, to try and get in the team, and when I get in the team, stay in the team.
“I’d love to play for Tunisia again because I did once for the first team, and if I do what I do on the pitch, and be a starter at Oxford United, I think that will come.”
