TYLER Goodrham says his latest wonder strike for Oxford United is up there with the best he has scored.
U’s fans have become accustomed to Goodrham cutting in from the left-hand side and finding the net from distance with his right foot, but it was the opposite against Preston North End.
The score was 1-1 eight minutes into the second half, when Goodrham collected the ball wide on the right.
He chopped inside Kaine Kesler-Hayden and bent in a wonderful strike from 25 yards, with the ball veering just inside the far post.

Asked whether it was his best goal for the club, Goodrham responded: “It’s definitely up there. It probably means a lot considering the circumstances, and it being my first Championship goal.
“Once you get that one, hopefully the others will start coming. It definitely means a lot.”
He added: “When I cut in, I thought ‘yeah go on, just hit it’, and I saw it shaping in, and when it went in, I was buzzing.
“To be able to score the goal that got us in front, and to keep the momentum going, was really good.”
Goodrham celebrated his sensational effort by tucking the ball under his shirt and sucking his thumb, in reference to his partner, who is pregnant with their first child.
On the celebration, Goodrham said: “My missus said I’ve got 13 more weeks to bring that out, so I’m obviously delighted to be able to do it, and I’ll show it to my little girl when she’s older.”

United have won their two home games in Sky Bet Championship, against Norwich City and North End, while suffering narrow one-goal defeats on the road, at Coventry City and Blackburn Rovers.
Discussing the step up to the second tier, Goodrham said: “It’s definitely a lot quicker. It’s one of them where there’s a lot going on, so you’ve always got to be switched on.
“I feel like we’ve stepped up to it quite well. We’re all good athletes, and it’ll take some adjusting, but I feel like we’ve adapted to it quite well.
“We’ve slowed it down when we had to, and sped it up when we had to, so I feel like we’ve adjusted well.”
He added: “The away games were close and maybe we didn’t deserve to lose them, but they gave us that confidence to say ‘we are a good side and we deserve to be at this level’.”
