SIX athletes from Witney and District Swimming Club competed at the Swim England National Summer Meet.

Hattie Lever, 16, won gold in the 16 yrs 1,500m freestyle, and then came fourth in the 400m, fifth in the 800m and 13th in the 200m, smashing new club records in all four events.

Ayan Varia, 15, won bronze in the 15 yrs 100m breaststroke, and was seventh in the 200m, both with new club records. He missed out on the 50m final, coming 11th.

Mason Amiri made the finals for all three of his 13 yrs events, in the 100m breaststroke (eighth) and 100m backstroke (eighth), plus seventh in the 200m backstroke, setting new club records.

Annabel Barnard, 15, came 19th in the 100m butterfly, and 14th in the 50m. Teammate Anneliese Elford came 11th in the 50m butterfly, with Erin Stewart 13th in the 18 yrs 50m backstroke.
