OXFORD City twice came from behind to grab a 2-2 draw at home against Darlington in Vanarama National League North.

The visitors opened the scoring after 18 minutes, as Elliot Forbes’ shot from the edge of the box squirmed past Kai McKenzie-Lyle.

The Hoops found an equaliser just five minutes later though, when Lewis Coyle unleashed a fierce drive into the bottom corner.

The Quakers regained the lead 10 minutes later, as Cedric Main surged forward and kept his composure to find the corner of the goal.

Josh Ashby curled an effort the wrong side of the post, while Pete Jameson parried a Coyle drive before the break.

Six minutes into the second half, Will Hatfield found the ball in plenty of space, but McKenzie-Lyle made a brilliant save to tip the Quakers captain’s fierce drive over the crossbar.

Zac McEachran, on as a half-time substitute, had two chances saved by Jameson, before the Hoops got their second leveller of the afternoon.

It came with 13 minutes to go, as the away side failed to deal with a corner, and Jalen Jones fired in from close range.

Ashby saw an effort saved by Jameson, before the woodwork was struck on three occasions during the seven minutes of stoppage time.

Will Flint cannoned a shot off the crossbar, with McKenzie-Lyle quickly reacting to stop the rebound.

The Hoops were then twice denied by the woodwork, as Reece Fleet hit the post with a shot aimed at the top corner, while Coyle smacked the post with a stinging strike from the edge of the box.
