FORMER Oxford United loanee Fin Stevens has joined Bundesliga side St Pauli on a permanent deal.
Stevens, who played 43 times as United won promotion from Sky Bet League One last season, linked up with St Pauli at the end of last week, leaving Premier League team Brentford.
He played 10 games for the Bees, and emerged through the club’s B team system.

After signing for St Pauli, who secured promotion to the German top flight last season, Stevens told his new club’s website: “I’m delighted to take the step into one of the strongest leagues in the world with St Pauli.
“After excellent talks with the club officials, I’m convinced the move comes at the right time and my skill set will fit in with the team’s style of play.
“I’m really looking forward to getting to know my teammates, the fans and Millerntor Stadium.”
St Pauli head coach Alexander Blessin added: “Fin prefers to play on the right-hand side but can also be deployed on the left.
“He’s a full back who likes to drive forward and get into deep positions. He anticipates well and is brave and aggressive in the tackle, switching the play quickly after winning the ball.”
Brentford director of football Phil Giles told the Bees website: “This is an excellent move for Fin. He did well at Oxford last season but realistically was in need of at least one more loan before he would be in competition for a full back role in our first team.
“Sometimes it is therefore better for a player, and better for the club, if that player continues to develop and grow in a new environment with different demands and opportunities.
“Fin is another product of the B team to move to a good level overseas and we wish him good luck with the next phase of his career.”
