TYLER Goodrham has committed his long-term future to Oxford United.
The 20-year-old attacker is one of the club’s most prized assets, after a remarkable rise over the last two seasons.
Goodrham progressed through the United academy and made his debut in November 2019, coming off the bench in a 4-1 win at Crawley Town in the EFL Trophy.

The 2022/23 season then proved to be a breakthrough one for Goodrham, who scored a stoppage time winner on his league debut, giving the U’s a 1-0 victory at home against Cambridge United in August 2022.
Goodrham never looked back, and scored four times in 44 appearances across all competitions, standing out as United battled against the drop.
He scored key goals in the wins against Cheltenham Town and Forest Green Rovers, helping the U’s secure safety in Sky Bet League One.
Last season, Goodrham took his game to another level, as he grabbed 10 goals in 51 games, playing an important role in United’s promotion to the Championship.

Goodrham told the U’s club website: “This means so much to me and I’m absolutely buzzing to sign this contract.
“Last season was so special to achieve success with this group and these fans, and I want to continue to go out there every week and fight to do more.
“This was a no-brainer for me as we know where the club is going, and I aspire to help Oxford reach their ambitions in this division.”
Having been primarily used as a winger, United head coach Des Buckingham moved Goodrham inside to a central midfield spot, and he flourished with a tenaciousness to his pressing, and vision for a killer pass.
Buckingham said: “Tyler is such a positive person and player, and it is fantastic that he has signed a new contract.
“He had his breakout season last year and contributed extremely well to our attacking style of play while also being able to demonstrate his all round ability on the biggest stage.
“We can all see Tyler’s qualities as a player, but he has also shown a real maturity in his football understanding as he has been asked to take on new roles with the team.
“He has adapted to a new position extremely well and to have somebody of his abilities at his age is an exciting prospect for us to now continue working with.”
