JACOB Knightbridge has joined Vanarama National League newcomers Braintree Town on loan until January.
Oxford United snapped up the 20-year-old goalkeeper on a free transfer last month, following his exit from West Ham United.
Knightbridge is one of three keepers signed by the U’s this summer, alongside Jamie Cumming and Matt Ingram.
He played 90 minutes as the U’s beat Oxford City last week, with Cumming between the posts for the pre-season win at Solihull Moors.

Braintree beat Worthing 4-3 in extra-time as they won the National League South play-off final back in May.
Knightbridge signed his first professional contract in May 2022, but left West Ham without making a senior appearance, although he did play for the Under-21s in a 1-0 win at Newport County in the EFL Trophy.
He was also on the bench for West Ham’s Europa League last 16 second leg against SC Freiburg, plus for both legs of their quarter final clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
