LUKE Killeen has joined Oxford Spires with immediate effect, replacing Drew Kemp.
The 19-year-old Australian has developed with the Cheetahs and Chargers, but has now secured a first team spot in the Premiership.
His progress has earned him a reserve position in the top tier of British Speedway, with his debut set to be on Monday night when Spires take on Belle Vue Aces at the National Speedway Stadium.

Spires team manager Peter Schroeck said: “We are known to make brave and bold decisions, and as far as we are concerned, this is another positive move to bring Luke into our Premiership side to develop and secure our future at Oxford Speedway.
“We are very proud to give this opportunity to Luke, who is without any doubt a great talent. Being alongside Ashton [Boughen], it will be very exciting to follow their progress.
“Our one to five is a match against anyone in this league, and having Ashton and Luke at reserve, we have two of the most promising young talents on board.”
Oxford Speedway promoter Jamie Courtney added: “Luke is a big part of the club, and he gives 100 per cent every time. He will be the first rider in history to ride for all three teams.”
