OXFORD United won 3-0 in successive days in pre-season with victory at Solihull Moors.
Mark Harris and Tyler Goodrham handed United a two-goal advantage at half-time, before James Golding bundled in a late third from a corner.
After the 3-0 win against Oxford City last night, 11 changes were made with Peter Kioso at right back the only summer signing named in the starting XI by Des Buckingham.
The U’s controlled the opening 45 minutes from the off, with a low Cameron Brannagan free kick from 20 yards held by Laurie Walker in the Moors goal, while a sliding challenge in the box thwarted Harris.
United took the lead with 17 minutes on the clock, after Harris was played through the middle, and the striker finished calmly when one-on-one with Walker.
A loose ball from the Moors defence went straight to the feet of Ruben Rodrigues, who teed up Cameron Brannagan, but his shot was held by Walker.
Gatlin O’Donkor, playing on the right wing, received the ball out wide after 25 minutes, squeezed infield and powered a shot goalward, only for it to be stopped by Walker.
The home side had their first sniff of goal just after half an hour had been played, when Josh McEachran lost possession, leading to former Banbury United forward Jack Stevens picking up the ball on the left, but his effort lacked conviction.
The U’s doubled their lead when Goodrham stole possession from a Solihull trialist and smashed the ball off the inside of the post from 20 yards, to ensure United had a two-goal lead at the break.
Solihull struck the woodwork in the first eight minutes of the second period, when a clever move ended in James Gale fizzing a shot against the outside of the post from 20 yards out.
At the other end, a cross toward the back post found O’Donkor, who headed the ball into the ground, with Walker making the save.
Just after an hour had been played, Buckingham made nine changes, with only Jamie Cumming and O’Donkor staying out.
One of the substitutes, Will Goodwin, spotted Aaron Flahavan off his line with 70 minutes on the clock, but his chipped effort sailed just over the crossbar.
The number of alterations that both sides made naturally took the sting out of the match, but Will Vaulks kept Flahavan on his toes when he swung in a free kick from the right-hand side, and the goalkeeper had to tip the ball away from underneath his crossbar.
The U’s nabbed a late third goal in the final minutes when Golding bundled home at the back post following a corner.
