OXFORD City have completed a double swoop ahead of their pre-season friendly at home to Oxford United this evening.

The Hoops have snapped up centre back Cole Kpekawa and attacker Corie Andrews.

Kpekawa spent time on loan at Court Place Farm last season, and now joins on a permanent basis after leaving Bromley, following their promotion to Sky Bet League Two, while Andrews has grabbed three goals as a trialist for the Hoops during pre-season.

City manager Sam Cox told the club website: “Cole was someone we targeted as soon as we came in. He has the ideal profile for a left-sided centre back and the way we want to play.

“We know Cole and what he’s done, he’s had a fantastic career and being here last season, the fans know what to expect from the quality he brings.

“Corie’s a player I’ve known previously after being at Wealdstone and I saw the good work he did there.

“At the time he’d been injured for a long time, but we brought him back in and he was brilliant for me.

“He had a few ups and downs with injuries towards the back end of the season, but he’s come in off the back of a good off-season where he’s been putting in the work and he looks really sharp.

“To get the deal done and bolster our attacking line is brilliant for us and we’re really looking forward to working with him.”
