HULL City goalkeeper Matt Ingram has left the club’s training camp in Turkey to undergo a medical at Oxford United, according to reports.

Hull Live has reported that a deal with the U’s has been agreed for Ingram to join on a permanent basis.

Ingram was unused as the Tigers drew 1-1 with Kasimpasa in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Tigers vice-chairman Tan Kesler told Hull Live earlier this week that Ingram was among five players that the club had received interest in this summer.

Ingram came through the academy at Wycombe Wanderers, where he made 140 appearances, before joining Queens Park Rangers for a reported £450,000 in January 2016.

During his time with the Chairboys, he had loans with Lewes, Hayes & Yeading United and Oxford City.

While at QPR, Ingram had loan spells at Northampton Town and a brief return to Wycombe, before signing for Hull in June 2019.

Ingram has made 111 appearances for the Tigers, including 12 last season. He kept 16 clean sheets in 38 league games during the 2020/21 campaign, as Hull won the Sky Bet League One title.

He made 29 Championship appearances the following season, and set a Tigers club record for the longest run without conceding an away goal (560 minutes).

Ingram also joined Luton Town on an emergency loan at the end of the 2021/22 campaign, before signing a new three-year deal in the summer of 2022.

United have already added two goalkeepers during the transfer window, with Jamie Cumming and Jacob Knightbridge joining.

Simon Eastwood is also contracted to the U’s, while Ed McGinty is currently on loan at Sligo Rovers until the end of the League of Ireland Premier Division season.
