CIARON Brown was an unused substitute as Northern Ireland beat Scotland in an international friendly at Hampden Park.
Liverpool right back Conor Bradley, who was on loan in Sky Bet League One with Bolton Wanderers last season, scored the only goal of the game just after the half hour mark when he picked up a loose ball from Everton’s Nathan Patterson and fired a deflected effort past Angus Gunn in the Scotland goal.
For Oxford United centre half Brown though, it was another night where he had to watch proceedings from the bench, having also been an unused substitute for his country’s 1-1 draw in Romania on Friday.
Brown though will be looking to pick up where he left off for the U’s, as Des Buckingham’s side make the trip to Shrewsbury Town on Good Friday.
