DES Buckingham says small details such as travel arrangements and preparation for a game can play a key part in Oxford United getting a positive result.
The U’s are travelling north this afternoon, and will stay over ahead of tomorrow night’s clash at Bolton Wanderers.
The game, which is being televised live on Sky Sports, sees two promotion hopefuls go head-to-head, with the potential for it to be won or lost by one moment of magic or an individual error.
It means the finer details in the lead-up to the match have been tightly monitored, in order to get the preparation right.

United head coach Buckingham said: “Small details make a big difference, whether it’s an opportunity on goal or a small bit of detail we make at a team meeting.
“We’ve got a lot of time between now and when we kick off tomorrow. We’ve trained, and everyone is fit and available.
“We’ll get on the bus and travel up to Bolton, and try use and that time to put ourselves in the best place.”
The reverse clash against the Trotters saw the U’s hold Ian Evatt’s side, who were at the time top of Sky Bet League One, to a goalless draw, in what was Buckingham’s first home game in charge of United.
