FORMER Oxford United winger Jodi Jones has broken the record for most assists in a Sky Bet League Two season, with more than a third of the campaign still to go.
Jones notched his 18th assist of the campaign, a new League Two record, when he teed up former U’s loanee Dan Crowley to open the scoring for Notts County in their home clash against Gillingham.
Despite going ahead, the Magpies would ultimately lose the game 3-1.
Jones though claimed the assist record, with another 16 games still to go in the season.

The Malta international was also recently named the League Two player of the month for January.
He grabbed six assists last month, including four in a 5-5 draw at Grimsby Town.
Jones joined United in July 2022, signing a one-year deal with the option of a further year.
However, he played in just eight games, including five substitute appearances in League One, before switching to the Magpies on loan last January.
After impressing in their promotion to League Two, he joined the club on a permanent basis after the U’s didn’t take up the option of a further 12 months.
