BANBURY United conceded twice in the first half as they slipped to a defeat at home to high-flying Scunthorpe United.
Jacob Butterfield and Connor Smith netted for the Iron, who were playing in the second tier as recently as 2011.

The result ended the Puritans’ two-game winning run, however for the visitors, it marked a fourth victory in their last six fixtures in Vanarama National League North and kept them in third place.
Mark Jones’ side though dropped to 16th in the table, two points shy of the play-off places and three points clear of the relegation zone.
The Puritans make the trip to league leaders Tamworth, who have lost their last two league games, on Saturday.
