Oxford United U18s cruised into the next round of the FA Youth Cup with a 3-0 win over Bridgwater United.
Aidan Elliott-Wheeler broke the deadlock just before halftime before Leo Snowden made it two shortly after the restart.
The game was wrapped up when substitute Harrison Bradney completed the scoring right at the death.
Bridgwater had the game’s first chance after 6 minutes when Freddy Haden capitalised on a mistake and Monty Marriott was forced into a save before Fran Souza headed the rebound over from close range.
Five minutes before halftime, Elliott-Wheeler picked up the ball 30 yards out and drove at the heart of the defence before firing an effort in off the crossbar with the outside of his boot.
United then doubled their lead in the 53rd minute after Elliott-Wheeler's strike from range was parried by Isaac Finch straight to Snowden who finished calmly.
Bradney replaced Kasway Burton with just over 15 to play, followed by United's youngest-ever senior appearance maker Louis Griffiths for Cameron Cooper five minutes later.
In the final minutes, Bradney popped up to make it three with an effort from range that snuck in at the near post.
Jacob Fowler replaced Snowden, and in the end, it was a comfortable enough victory and a clean sheet for the U's, who progressed to the second round.
