OXFORD City Stars remain rooted to the bottom of the NIHL Division 1 South after a 6-3 defeat on the road.
Joe Tomalin gave home side Romford Buccaneers a 1-0 lead in the first period, before the clash burst into life in the second.

Tjay Anderson doubled Romford’s advantage, only for the Stars to strike back through goals in quick succession via Danny Williams and Theo Bundock.
Brynley Capps restored the hosts’ lead, however a Tom Stephens rocket once again brought Stars level.
A Marco Pascale goal on the power play then put Romford 4-3 in front at the end of the second period.
Anderson struck again for Romford, before Tom Wilson secured a three-goal advantage with 12 minutes to go.
Stars face a double-header this weekend when they visit Solent Devils on Saturday, before welcoming Streatham Red Hawks to Oxpens on Sunday.
