Thame Town, full of confidence following a series of good results, continued their excellent season by outplaying Finchampstead and being unlucky not to force a win.
Hosts Thame rattled up a massive 291-8 from 60 overs, before Finchampstead were left hanging on for a draw at 226-9 in a high-scoring match.
On a flat track, Thame's batsmen enjoyed themselves against a moderate attack, with half-centuries from Manoj Parmar, Chris Wynd on his return, and Luke Merry, who slammed an unbeaten 67.
Sam Lachlan struck a crucial blow when dismissing Finchampstead danger man Russell Lane cheaply as he claimed the first four wickets.
The visitors looked set to secure a comfortable draw before three quick wickets from left-arm spinner Jaydeep Bhatti left their last pair having to bat out the last 4.3 overs for a draw.
